No it's a good game. You can even get Pine Valley Golf Club in NJ, which is usually the top rated course in America since as long as I have followed golf.

I would not deal with the tour mode. You have all these great courses but are limited to playing the ones that came with thte game and most were made by HB.  Forget what the mode is called but you can create your own personal tour, down to picking each course, how many rounds and even the conditions/time of day for each round so things do not get stale. You can even make certain events majors, so they cover most everything.
