Just tried out the demo and enjoyed it. I'd definitely buy this when it drops to $39.99. I did get this weird graphical glitch where the torso was missing on some players during my first game:

Is it any easier to play than 2K? Cripes, 2K controls are a pain in the azz.

Jason

The controls are MUCH easier and it's one of the main reasons I like the game. It's a little more arcade-style than 2K, but in a good way. There's supposed to be a pretty substantial day one patch that makes the gameplay even better.

After playing a bit more today I'm hoping someone has a sale on it soon because it's a lot of fun. Defense is a little tough, but I definitely started improving the more I played.

Jason

I upped the contact sliders and it makes the game play much better and really helps on the defensive end of the floor. I can't seem to stop playing the demo because of how much fun it is. What's nice is that EA lets you save your settings/sliders in the demo so you don't have to update them every time you play.

Jason

EA should take a page from 2K Sports when they released their entire 2k5 sports lineup at $19.99 to compete against EA Sports. NBA Live would probably get a lot more initial sales at a $39.99 price...I know I'd buy it day one at that price.

Jason

Dick move by EA locking the NBA Live demo with the exception of Pro Am mode now that the game is out.

Brad Company

Well, it is EA after all...

Jason

What a shame they didn't release the game at $40. So many people like myself just won't purchase it at full price. Unlike many of those people, I think it's worth $60 but I just know it'll have a quick drop in price once 2K16 starts dominating it in sales.

Jason

I have to take back my comment about EA removing the "Play Now" feature from the demo. If you delete the original demo (23GB), you can download a new, limited demo (only 5GB) with the patched version of "Play Now" which still includes all six teams from the original demo. The patched version practically eliminates the floating layup, contains much more contact and improves rebounding tremendously. This should hold me over until the full game drops in price. Nicely done EA.
