This is a pretty cool feature since the person you're sharing with doesn't even need to own the game. It's a good way to let your friends try out something before buying it themselves.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a 4 this holiday season.  I wonder if there will be some post Black Friday deals this year.

I've got one sitting in my shopping cart at Amazon. I'm going to see how my money situation is after buying gifts for the kids.

It is an neat feature, just trying to rack my brain as to how it works since they say the person without the game can play it without a download.

It works like remote support software on a pc. The game runs on the owner's console and is streamed while the other person sends controls to the owner's console/game.

I wonder if Sony will do something to match Microsoft's Xbox One price drop to $349.

Brad Company

Maybe I can play Spaceman with someone...

If you've been playing the recently released Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you may have noticed a message at the start of each play session.

It tells you that game recording has been disabled.  What this means is that the game doesn't support the newly released Share Play feature for PlayStation 4, delivered last week via firmware update 2.00.

Yes, Sony did say the option would work for all games.  However, in a clarification to GameSpot, Sony said all games can support Share Play, but it's up to the developer to utilize it:

"Share Play is a system level feature enabled by System Software Update 2.0 making it available for all PS4 titles, however the option is available to developers to disable the feature according to what they feel will best benefit the consumer experience."
Share Play lets two PS4 owners play the same copy of a game online. The owner is the host and can stream footage to a guest console; they can do this for one hour.

There's no limit to the number of times you can do it, either.  But obviously, a developer has to want to allow this...

Share Play is definitely the real deal...Brent let me try out a bunch of his games tonight and it worked flawlessly. I now plan on buying Super Mega Baseball tomorrow along with Pure Pool (once it goes on sale again).

My guess is you need a super awesome internet connection for this to work well?

Sony recommends at least 2Mbps upload speed.

Mine is 30 Mbps download/5 Mbps up
